Biography

Mustafijur Rahman, a Commonwealth Scholar, is specialized in the fields of medical textiles, biomaterials, nanofibers and nanotechnology, Tissue Engineering, Textile Chemistry, Medicinal Dye Synthesis, Chromic Dyes Synthesis for Medical Textiles, Tissue engineering, and so on. Mr. Rahman is currently pursuing his Ph.D. research in the Center for Materials Innovation and Future Fashion under the School of Fashion and Textiles at RMIT University, Australia. Mr. Rahman is highly professional in all aspects of his work. He was appointed to the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) in 2016. Mr. Rahman has more than ten (10) years of experience in academia and research. Before joining BUTEX, he worked as Assistant Professor at Primeasia University in Textile Engineering Department. In addition, Mr. Rahman worked as a Researcher at Colour Synthesis Solutions Ltd, UK, under a research project in collaboration with the University of Manchester in 2014. He was also the Proctor and Examination Supervisor of the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, under the Distance Education and Learning Technologies (DELT) program in 2011-2012 WINTER semester. Mr. Rahman has two years of industrial experience in the renowned woven composite industry, South China Bleaching and Dyeing Factory Limited, located in DEPZ, Savar, Dhaka. He likes to contributes his knowledge and expertise to the students and takes dignity in empowering the next generation of skilled textile professionals.
